And it is not only we humans who need it; all life is dependent on water to survive. If prices are increased in bottled water and also other sources of fresh water are increased, not only will people be informed that there is in fact a fresh water crisis, but it will also force them to not waste it.
Although I do agree that we do need to focus on one thing at a time; I disagree with his idea because only focusing on agriculture will simply take too long and cost too much.
Another solution that is becoming popular and plausible right now is filtering water. Levitt believes that the fresh water crisis is too big of a problem to solve at once and we should only focus on one thing at a time.
However the village people drink it anyways due to the fact that they are not given enough bottled water. There are current technologies that can recycle waste water that comes out of sewers.
